Developments;
Thank you so very much for taking on
our kitchen remodel. We knew when we purchased our home that the
kitchen was completely outdated and virtually non-functioning. When
we could no longer tolerate the toaster oven as our sole source of
cooking, we began to seriously consider bringing it up-to-date. In
talking with some of our neighbors who had already undertaken that
task, we heard horror stories about remodeling companies who took
months to complete, charged exorbitant prices or who abandoned the
job before finishing. When Kirk Tukua mentioned that Applegate was
adding a remodeling division, we jumped on the opportunity. Having
worked with Kirk in the past and knowing his attention to detail and
exemplary work and personal ethic, we did not hesitate to
immediately start the process.
The selection process was nearly
effortless, made more so by the fact that Kirk brought samples to
our home. He was very mindful of our need to stick to a budget and
helped us secure the nicest products that our dollars could buy. He
lent his expertise in offering logical and satisfactory solutions to
the structural and decorative issues that arose well before starting
the project, which allowed demolition and construction to proceed in
an orderly and timely manner.
We were very
impressed with Karl Marshall, the project manager. He was diligent
about sticking to the schedule and making things happen as per the
job specifications. He was unfailingly polite and someone we
instantly felt good about and comfortable having in our home. He
was always available to answer a question and great about
communicating. It became obvious over the course of the
job that he is a true
professional who takes pride in his work and cares about his
customers.
The most impressive thing about the
entire process is that it began and ended exactly to the schedule
Kirk had laid out. Although there is no denying the mess and
inconvenience of living in a home during a major remodel, the fact
that it was done in a relatively short time was simply amazing.
Everything happened in a timely manner and there were even days
added into the schedule to accommodate subcontractor no-shows and
delays in deliveries that had no effect on the targeted completion
date. This is huge, especially since remodeling projects have a
known reputation for vastly exceeding the original estimates of cost
and time. Neither happened in our case and we are certain that was
due to proper planning and execution and not a happy accident.
We are very proud of our new kitchen
and feel that both the experience and finished product exceed our
original expectations. We would be happy to provide references for
any prospective customers and will gladly refer your company to any
of our friends and family who may need similar services.
